7.1 WHAT ARE DIGITAL IMAGES? |
| |
Digital images are electronic file version of your image. They are the negatives of your digital prints. |
| |
7.5 WHAT IS ASPECT RATIO? |
| |
Aspect ratio refers to the shape of your image files or prints. The size of your digital image is rarely a perfect match for the print size chosen. In order for an image to fit in a print size without cropping it must have the same aspect ratio as the print size. For instance, a square has an aspect ratio of 1:1 while a 4x6 print has a ratio of 1:1.50. Therefore, one cannot fit into the other without cropping part of it off. The same occurs with images made from most digital cameras. The majority of digital cameras manufactured today have an aspect ratio of 1:1.33, so some cropping may occur when your images are printed. Make sure the Zoom/Crop box is checked on the prints in your shopping cart to avoid white borders on your prints. |
| |
7.2 CAN I PURCHASE DIGITAL IMAGES? |
| |
You can purchase all your photos or just your favorite poses on our high-resolution CD just as you would your prints |
| |
7.3 WHAT IS HIGH-RESOLUTION AND HOW DOES IT AFFECT MY DIGITAL IMAGES? |
| |
The more pixels there are in an image, the larger your file size. File size is determined by many factors such as dots per inch (dpi), resolution, output source etc. To make it easy, the number of pixels in an image translates to a specific file size and dimension. The larger the file, the better the quality of your prints. |
| |
7.4 WHAT WILL BE THE QUALITY OF THE DIGITAL IMAGES I PURCHASE? |
| |
All digital images are print size 4x6" at 300 dpi |
| |
7.6 WILL I BE ABLE TO CROP MY PHOTOS? |
| |
Yes you will be able to crop your photos when you are preparing them for order. By default they are cropped to fit the print size you select but you can crop them differently if you would like |
